With Antithesis just around the corner, we at Antithesis are busy putting together a great festival for all. To promote the spoken word artists we have two shows coming up on 3cr, Thursday 24th of February TT.O will be aired, and the following week, Thursday March 3rd, will feature poetry from Angela Costi, Luka Haralampou, Koraly Dimitriadis, Komninos Zervos and Pixie Trangas. We are also finalising the panelists for our forum at the Hellenic Museum on the 27th of March, and we are excited to announce that international award-winning film director, writer and producer Alkinos Tsilimidos will be participating in the discussion. In this panel we hope to discuss with prominent Greek-Australians what obstacles they have faced from a cultural perspective and what it means to them to be Greek, even though their work isn’t perceived as being Greek. On the film side of things, we are happy to be screening the multi-award winning animation film screened all around the world, Zero, directed by Christopher Kezelos, produced Chritsine Kezelos. Also included is the film 296 Smith Street directed by John Evagora, starring Tony Nikolakopoulos and Steve Mouzakis. This film has won major awards at both Sydney and Melbourne International Film Festivals. So get excited with us, and put the dates in your diary. Refer to our events tab for details.
